The 2021 Mississippi high school football season enters the final stage. Teams have persevered through a rugged regular season not to mention COVID-19 and all its protocols to advance to the state's ultimate tournament.

Defending Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) champions are Oak Grove (Hattiesburg) (6A), West Jones (Laurel) (5A), Louisville (Class 4A), Magee (Class 3A), Taylorsville (Class 2A), Lumberton (Class 1A).

Defending Midsouth Association of Independent Schools (MAIS) champions are Madison-Ridgeland Academy (Madison) (6A), Leake Academy (Madden) (5A), Riverfield Academy (4A), Greenville Christian (Greenville) (3A), Briarfield Academy (8-man 1A) and Manchester Academy (Yazoo City) (8-man 2A).
