Basketball Recap: Jordan Williams Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Centura

Ord's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They strolled past the Centura Centurions with points to spare, taking the game 59-40. This was a revenge game for the Chanticleers: when they faced off against the Centurions back in December of 2024, they had to take a 56-52 loss.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Ord to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Williams, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. That's the most points Williams has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Landon Critel, who went 7 of 14 en route to 17 points and four steals.

Despite the loss, Centura still got an impressive performance from Barrett Fries, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 15 points and eight boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Weston Kroeger, who posted ten points.

Ord's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Centura, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 8-10.

Ord will square off against Wood River at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Centura, they will take on Ravenna at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
