Autauga Academy entered their tilt with Billingsley on Thursday with 11 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 12. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 11-10 W against the Bears.

Caydence Powell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and eight unearned) runs on five hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Madison Johnson, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two). Another player making a difference was Destinee Carroll, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Autauga Academy's victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Billingsley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.
