Baseball Game Preview: Miller Rebels vs. San Bernardino Cardinals

The Miller Rebels will take on the San Bernardino Cardinals at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

San Bernardino's hitters are going to have their work cut out for them on Thursday: Miller hadn't allowed a single run the last four times they've hit the field. The Rebels never let Indian Springs get on the board and left with a 16-0 win on Tuesday.

Elian Salas was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Michael Castillo, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Salas wasn't the only one making solid contact: Miller kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The Rebels are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Meanwhile, San Bernardino had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They blew past the Pirates 15-5.

The victory got Miller back to even at 9-9. As for San Bernardino, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
