Baseball Recap: Sierra Lutheran Comes Up Short

If Sierra Lutheran was feeling good fresh off their 9-3 takedown of Battle Mountain last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons fell just short of the Incline Highlanders by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Highlanders recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Sierra Lutheran saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew Gleiser, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Gleiser is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

Sierra Lutheran's loss dropped their record down to 5-14-1. As for Incline, their record now sits at 5-10.

While Sierra Lutheran had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
