Basketball Recap: Mt. Ararat Comes Up Short

Mt. Ararat lost against Noble back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The contest between the Mt. Ararat Eagles and the Noble Knights didn't end well, with the Mt. Ararat Eagles falling 64-48. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings (they are ranked 99th, while the Knights are ranked third).

Mt. Ararat has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Noble, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 17-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Noble beat Mt. Ararat by a score of 64-48 on Saturday.
