Basketball Recap: Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart Comes Up Short

Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 96-50 loss at the hands of the Cedar Mountain Cougars. The Mustangs were not able to make up for their loss to the Cougars from their previous meeting back in January.

Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Cedar Mountain, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart and Wabasso will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Wabasso knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Buffalo Lake-Hector-Stewart likes a good challenge. As for Cedar Mountain, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Cedar Mountain Cougars face off against the Springfield Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Springfield will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Cedar Mountain surely won't give up without a fight.
