Volleyball Recap: Annelise Mitchell and Maralea Davis Secure Win for Model + How To Watch

Model had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Pepperell Dragons by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Model was led to victory by Maralea Davis and AnnElise Mitchell. Davis had 14 digs and three aces, while Mitchell had eight digs and eight assists. Those eight digs gave Mitchell a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Model was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

When it comes to explaining why Pepperell lost, don't look at Aleksah Stroud. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs.

Model's win bumped their record up to 36-10. As for Pepperell, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-16.

Looking ahead, Model is taking a road trip to challenge Gordon Lee at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Pepperell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
