Basketball Recap: Benton Central Takes a Loss

Benton Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Lafayette Jefferson Bronchos, falling 71-32. The match marked the Bison's lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Benton Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Lafayette Jefferson, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Benton Central and Washington will round out the year against one another at at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Washington will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Benton Central surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lafayette Jefferson, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Logansport at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
