Softball Recap: Billings Comes Up Short

Billings was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 9-6 to the Southwest Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 22-21 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Billings' record now sits at 0-2. As for Southwest, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Billings Wildcats face off against Lockwood Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lockwood's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Billings' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Southwest, they will venture away from home to challenge Blue Eye at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
