Hemet had already won 14 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.6 points) and they went ahead and made it 15 on Tuesday. They walked away with a 65-52 victory over the Citrus Hill Hawks. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Hawks are ranked 648th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, Citrus Hill saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jerren White dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten boards. White has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 24 times he's played. Alaric(AJ) Hayes was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Hemet's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-2. As for Citrus Hill, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-9.

Hemet will venture away from home to face off against Lakeside at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Hemet's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 15 games. As for Citrus Hill, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Citrus Hill Hawks take on the Vista del Lago Ravens at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Citrus Hill is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.9 points per game this season.
