Recap: Christian Community Colts vs. Highland Rim Academy
The Christian Community Colts entered their tilt with Highland Rim Academy with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Christian Community sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 52-50 win over Highland Rim Academy on Thursday. The team ran away with 41 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the victory.
Christian Community's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from A.C. Caverly, who scored 14 points along with three blocks. It was the first time this season that Caverly posted two or more blocks. Autumn Ray was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five assists and three steals.
Christian Community is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a massive bump to their 18-9 record this season. As for Highland Rim Academy, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Christian Community will stay at home for another game and welcome Clarksville Christian at 10:30 p.m. on February 10th. Clarksville Christian is coming into the contest with four straight wins on the road, meaning Christian Community will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. Highland Rim Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
