Volleyball Recap: Yuma Outlaws vs. Wray Eagles
Yuma was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Wray Eagles. The Outlaws have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.
Yuma took Wray into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-7, 25-19, 15-25, 15-12.
Berkley Nighswonger paced Yuma's offense, picking up ten kills. Nighswonger got some help from Bailey Nighswonger and her 24 assists. Bailey also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lindsey Hermosillo, each putting up two.
