Baseball Recap: Ontario Comes Up Short

After soaring to 11 runs the game before, Ontario was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jurupa Valley. The loss was Ontario's first of the season.

Ontario saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sam Escobedo, who went 1-for-3 with one triple. Damian Lua also deserves some recognition as he stole his first stolen base of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Ontario fell to 3-1. As for Jurupa Valley, their victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-1.

Coming up, Ontario will challenge Fontana at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Jurupa Valley, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Jaguars challenge the Panthers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
