Owosso dropped down to 18-4-2 on Monday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 13-1 to the Goodrich Martians. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Trojans, who until this game were averaging 2.92 runs allowed.

As for Goodrich, they picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 4-5-1. The result was nothing new for the Martians, who have now won four matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

For Goodrich's part, Jaxson Pudvay was a standout: he got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and three runs. Pudvay is becoming a predictor of the Martians' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-5-1 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Landon King, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Coming up, Goodrich will head out on the road to face off against New Lothrop at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Owosso will be paying especially close attention to the Martians' contest: after the Martians face off against the Hornets, they'll take on Owosso again at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
