Baseball Recap: Hinkley Takes a Loss

Hinkley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to the DSST: Montview Knights. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Thunder couldn't push the score so high this time.

Hinkley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angel Ruiz-Garcia, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Hinkley's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for DSST: Montview, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hinkley will square off against Northridge at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Thunder are facing the Grizzlies at the right time seeing as the Grizzlies are stuck on a 14-game losing streak. As for DSST: Montview, they will face off against Manual at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
