Nemaha Central is a perfect 10-0 against Hiawatha since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Thunder will look to defend their home field against the Red Hawks at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Nemaha Central and five for Hiawatha.

Holton hit Hiawatha with a six-run fourth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Red Hawks fell 6-3 to the Wildcats.

Lucas Lancaster and Karson Henry did some serious damage despite the final result: Lancaster went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI, while Henry went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. That RBI marked the first that Lancaster has brought in this season.

Nemaha Central's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Hiawatha, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-11-1.

Nemaha Central took their win against Hiawatha in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 8-2 score. Will the Thunder repeat their success, or do the Red Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
