Baseball Recap: Sexton Takes a Loss

Sexton extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 22 on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 0-5 in the process. They lost 19-3 to the Eastern Quakers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Big Reds of the 24-9 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Eastern's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-8. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for their hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

For Eastern's part, Alejandro Eno was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs and one stolen base.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sexton will head out to challenge Charlotte at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Eastern, they will take on Bendle at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
