Softball Recap: Tattnall Square Academy Gets the Win

Tattnall Square Academy's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They never let the Bulloch Academy Gators get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Trojans in their matchups with the Gators: they've now won four in a row.

Bryton Tarver made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted two strikeouts, the most she's had since back in September of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Tattnall Square Academy let Madison Malcom and Reese Covington run wild. Malcom got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run, while Covington went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and two runs. Kiley Kate Hodgin was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Tattnall Square Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 12 consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Tattnall Square Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Bulloch Academy, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coincidentally, Tattnall Square Academy and Bulloch Academy will both be playing George Walton Academy the next time they take the field. The Trojans will host the Bulldogs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Gators will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
