Softball Game Preview: McComb Panthers vs. Leipsic Vikings

The McComb Panthers will head out to challenge the Leipsic Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. McComb has given up an average of 10.9 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

McComb is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Monday. They came up short against Ridgemont, falling 15-5.

McComb saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hannah Sherick, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 14 runs the game before, Leipsic was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They lost 9-1 to Continental. The Vikings have struggled against the Pirates recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Leipsic's loss dropped their record down to 9-12. As for McComb, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.

McComb took their victory against Leipsic when the teams last played last Monday by a conclusive 14-3 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
