Penn Yan Academy extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 3-13 in the process. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 10-9 W against the Avon Braves. Ten seems to be a good number for the Mustangs as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

As for Avon, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 12 of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season. Their loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row.

For Avon's part, Connor Smith was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Davis, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
