The Basic Wolves will face off against the Green Valley Gators at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Basic is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Basic is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Faith Lutheran, who was ranked tenth at the time (Basic was ranked first). The Wolves fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 7-5 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Wolves have suffered since March 5th.

Lyndon Lee made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, Green Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 5-2 to Liberty.

Green Valley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Elijah Alba, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Basic's loss dropped their record down to 16-6. As for Green Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-13.

Basic was able to grind out a solid victory over Green Valley when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 11-6. Do the Wolves have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Gators turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
