Preview: Edison Private Eagles vs. Sheridan Hills Christian Sharks
Edison Private is 0-4 against the Sharks since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Edison Private Eagles will be staying on the road to face off against the Sheridan Hills Christian Sharks at 6:30 p.m. on February 1st.
On Wednesday, Edison Private had to suffer through a rough 78-22 loss at the hands of the Sharks. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Edison Private has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Sheridan Hills Christian entered their tilt with the Bulldogs with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Everything went Sheridan Hills Christian's way against the Bulldogs on Tuesday as the Sharks made off with a 80-57 victory. Sheridan Hills Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 matches by 21 points or more this season.
Sheridan Hills Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from AJ Seay, who scored 22 points along with six assists and four steals. Seay is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. Elias Feliz was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 12 rebounds.
Edison Private's defeat was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Sheridan Hills Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.
Edison Private was taken down by the Sharks 69-35 when the teams last played back in November of 2023. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Feliz, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds.
