Basketball Game Preview: Johnson City Eagles vs. Weimar Wildcats

The Johnson City Eagles and the Weimar Wildcats will face off at 10:15 a.m. on Friday without much rest, having both just played. Weimar took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Johnson City, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Johnson City made easy work of Somerset Academy Collegiate and carried off a 70-49 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 21 points or more this season.

Collin Corpus and Brady Odiorne were among the main playmakers for Johnson City as the former posted 21 points and the latter put up 17 points. The game was Corpus' fourth in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Craig, who earned ten points.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Weimar faced off against St. Paul on Thursday. The Wildcats had to suffer through a 63-36 loss at the hands of the Cardinals. The Wildcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Johnson City is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points over those games. As for Weimar, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
