Soccer Recap: North Muskegon's Undefeated Season over After 11 Games

After flying high against Orchard View on Wednesday, North Muskegon came back down to earth. The Norsemen fell just short of the Fruitport Trojans by a score of 1-0 on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for North Muskegon in their meetings with Fruitport: they've now lost five in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, North Muskegon fell to 7-1-3. As for Fruitport, the win keeps them at an undefeated 10-0-3.

North Muskegon and Fruitport should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Norsemen will challenge Shelby at 5:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (38 vs. 371). Meanwhile, Fruitport (ranked 24th) will meet Belding (ranked 349th) at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
