Football Recap: Sparks Comes Up Short

Sparks extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 1-4. They took a blow against the Churchill County Greenwave, falling 49-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Railroaders were not able to get on the board.

As for Churchill County, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Fans of they have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Camden Richardson had a dynamite game, punching in one rushing score, while also catching one touchdown. Another player making a difference was Matthew Bird, who rushed for 36 yards.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sparks will square off against Lowry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Churchill County, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Spring Creek at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
