Softball Recap: Lynnwood Takes a Loss

Lynnwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Marysville-Pilchuck Tomahawks, falling 22-13. Even if the Royals couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Lynnwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. Marysville-Pilchuck has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lynnwood will face off against rival Mountlake Terrace at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Marysville-Pilchuck is set to challenge their familiar foe Snohomish at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
