Volleyball Recap: Providence's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road + How To Watch

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Watauga, Providence was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Butler Bulldogs 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted against the Bulldogs since August 30, 2022.

Providence had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 11-25, 17-25, 25-22, 25-19, 15-13.

Kaitlin White paced Providence's offense, picking up 13 kills. White got some help from Ellie Rinehardt and her 17 assists. Finally, Kenedi Cunningham kept Providence's defense grounded, leading the team with seven blocks.

Providence's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-5. As for Butler, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Coming up, Providence will host Rocky River at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Panthers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Butler, they have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Ballantyne Ridge on the 27th.
