Basketball Recap: Clay-Chalkville Takes a Loss

After flying high against Gardendale last Friday, Clay-Chalkville came back down to earth. The Clay-Chalkville Cougars took a 43-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pinson Valley Indians. The match marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Clay-Chalkville's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 19-8. As for Pinson Valley, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-8.

Clay-Chalkville will square off against Hewitt-Trussville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pinson Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
