Softball Recap: Winamac Starts off Right with Win over Tippecanoe Valley

Winamac had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Tippecanoe Valley Vikings on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Makayla Werner was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Brody Goodman, who scored a run while going 1-for-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Winamac will welcome Morgan Township at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tippecanoe Valley, they will be playing at home against Mishawaka Marian at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
