Game recap: Grand County High School Football Team takes down San Juan

BLANDING, Utah - San Juan (Blanding, Utah) lost to Grand County (Moab, Utah), 30-9.

After taking the lead on a touchdown run in the second quarter, the Red Devils were up 10-3 at the half.

Grand County expanded its lead to 14 points entering the fourth quarter. GC scored two times in the third, including once on a kick return.

San Juan's lone touchdown came on a 50-yard pass from Peyton Palmer to Grant Laws in the third quarter.

The Moab school had given up an average of 10.9 points prior to the contest. San Juan's nine points were well above their season average of zero per game.



The victory is a complete turnaround from last season's game between these two teams, which San Juan took, 38-6.

The loss comes after San Juan defeated Gunnison Valley 56-25 last week. With the win the Red Devils extended their winning streak to four games. The loss broke San Juan's two-game winning streak.
