Recap: Ord Chanticleers vs. Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family
The Ord Chanticleers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took down Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family 59-42. The victory was nothing new for Ord as they're now sitting on three straight.
Leading Ord to victory were Elijah Pollard and Blake Hinrichs. Pollard scored 18 points, while Hinrichs scored 15 points along with eight rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hinrichs has scored at least 25% of Ord's points. Another player making a difference was Talan Bruha, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Ord has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. As for Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.
Ord won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against North Bend Central at 6:00 p.m. on December 29th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nebraska (North Bend Central is ranked 104th, while Ord is ranked 129th). As for Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family, they will be playing at home against Stanton on Tuesday. Stanton is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
