Football Game Preview: Paw Paw Red Wolves vs. Three Rivers Wildcats + How To Watch

Paw Paw and Three Rivers are an even 5-5 against one another since September of 2016, but not for long. The Red Wolves will head out on the road to square off against the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Paw Paw has four straight victories, Three Rivers has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Friday, Paw Paw strolled past Otsego with points to spare, taking the game 34-20. Given the Red Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 265th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ben Miller produced another solid performance rushing for 226 yards and three scores while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. Miller is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 129 every time he's taken the field this season.

Miller was just one part of a punishing run game: Paw Paw was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 226 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 171 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Three Rivers fell victim to Edwardsburg and their airtight defense on Friday. They were dealt a 27-0 defeat at the hands of the Eddies.

Three Rivers' loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Paw Paw, they now also have a winning record of 4-3.

Everything came up roses for Paw Paw against Three Rivers when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 41-0 win. Will the Red Wolves repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
