Basketball Recap: Wyalusing Valley Comes Up Short

Wyalusing Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were beaten by the Sayre Redskins 68-37. The Rams were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-22.

Nick Pellicano was his usual excellent self, going 13 for 18 on his way to 28 points and four steals for Sayre. With that strong performance, Pellicano is now averaging an impressive 16.6 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson Trump, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds.

Wyalusing Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Sayre, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Wyalusing Valley will head out on the road to challenge Troy at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sayre, they will host Williamson at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
