If Capitan wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Lordsburg, they should've done a better job of containing Valerie Guerrero. The Lordsburg Mavericks blew past the Capitan Tigers 61-30 on Tuesday thanks in part to Guerrero, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Her big performance that afternoon made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Pamela Salcido, who posted two points and nine boards. Those nine rebounds gave her a new career-high.

Lordsburg's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for Capitan, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-17.

Lordsburg didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 58-47 loss against Mescalero Apache on the 26th. Capitan does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
