Soccer Game Preview: Carlisle vs. Waynesboro

The Carlisle Thundering Herd will venture away from home to take on the Waynesboro Indians at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Carlisle's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Carlisle fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against East Pennsboro on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Waynesboro came up short against Spring Grove on Monday and fell 3-1.

Carlisle's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11-3. As for Waynesboro, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12-1.

Carlisle couldn't quite get it done against Waynesboro in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Thundering Herd avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
