Volleyball Game Preview: Cobre Indians vs. West Las Vegas Dons + How To Watch

The Cobre Indians will challenge the West Las Vegas Dons at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. West Las Vegas took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Cobre, who comes in off a win.

On Tuesday, Cobre got the win against Lordsburg by a conclusive 3-0. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Mavericks recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Cobre was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-14, 25-12.

Meanwhile, West Las Vegas didn't have quite enough to beat Crownpoint on Thursday and fell 3-2. The Dons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

West Las Vegas wouldn't go down easily and took Crownpoint into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking four-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-23, 20-25, 23-25, 15-11.

West Las Vegas' defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Cobre, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.

Cobre skirted past West Las Vegas 3-2 when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Dons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
