Softball Recap: Tug Valley Panthers vs. Shelby Valley Wildcats        
        
		
            
 Tug Valley came into Tuesday's   match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Shelby Valley Wildcats  on Tuesday and snuck past  8-6. This was a revenge  contest for Tug Valley, as the team was forced to settle for  an  8-7 defeat when these two played  last Monday.
  Bailee Hall made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching seven innings while giving up  four earned  (and two unearned) runs off   eight  hits. Hall has been consistent recently: she hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in seven consecutive pitching appearances. Hall was even better at the plate,  scoring three  runs and  stealing three bases while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Megan Griffey was  incredible,  going 3-for-3 with a  home run, two  runs,  and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Haleigh Muncy, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances.
 Tug Valley's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Shelby Valley, their loss was  their fifth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 4-6.
 Tug Valley will  take on Tolsia at 6:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Tug Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 10.7  runs per game  this season. As for Shelby Valley, they will look to defend their home field  on Friday against Harlan County at 6:00  p.m.
