Football Game Preview: Logan Wildcats vs. Scott Skyhawks

The Logan Wildcats will take on the Scott Skyhawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Logan will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.

It was a proper cat-fight when Logan duked it out with Clay County on Friday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 14-6. Those 14 points were actually the fewest the Wildcats have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Logan found their leader in sophomore Luvante Kenney, who rushed for 150 yards and a pair of TDs on only ten carries. Those 150 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Kenney.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Logan proved: they limited Clay County to a paltry 2.2 yards per carry. The team can thank Braxton Wolford for the heroic effort on defense: he. Logan didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 8.1.

Logan didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off six passes before the game was over. Easton Craddock led the group effort, picking up three of those interceptions all by himself.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Scott's offense. The contest between the Skyhawks and Mingo Central didn't end well, with the Skyhawks falling 19-0. Surprisingly, this marked the Skyhawks' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

Scott's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Logan, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Logan took a serious blow against Scott in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 55-8. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Wildcats were down 48-0.
