Basketball Recap: Johnson Bayou Comes Up Short

Johnson Bayou came up into this matchup off a tough 35-point loss last Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Gueydan Bears by a score of 53-51 on Monday. The Rebels were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bears earlier this season, when they won 57-40.

This is the second loss in a row for Johnson Bayou and nudges their season record down to 10-22. As for Gueydan, the victory snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 4-19 record.

Johnson Bayou has already played their next game, a 69-45 defeat against Singer on the 4th. As for Gueydan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 57-47 win against Highland Baptist Christian on the 4th.
