Softball Game Preview: Lynbrook Owls vs. Locust Valley Falcons

The Lynbrook Owls will venture away from home to square off against the Locust Valley Falcons at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Lynbrook has given up an average of 8.5 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lynbrook fell victim to Washington and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 12-0. The Owls have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Locust Valley gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener back in April. They had just enough and edged out Baldwin 6-5.

Lynbrook's defeat dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Locust Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.

Lynbrook was able to grind out a solid win over Locust Valley when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 12-9. Will the Owls repeat their success, or do the Falcons have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
