South Side dropped their record down to 10-6-1 on Thursday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Western Beaver Golden Beavers by a score of  4-3. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Beavers apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in May of 2024.
  Andrew Corfield was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 3-for-4 with one  triple, one  stolen base,  and one  run. He has been hot recently, having  posted  at least one  stolen base the last four times he's  played.  Rj Fisher was another key player,  getting on base  in two of his four plate appearances with one  stolen base and one  run.
As for Western Beaver, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.1 runs on average over those games.
 On Western Beaver's side,  the team  relied heavily on  Benji Valdez, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with four  stolen bases and two  runs. Those  four  stolen bases gave  Valdez a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  August Lichtner, who  went 2-for-3 with one  double and one  RBI.
