After each having a week off, the Lewis County Panthers and the Lexington Tigers will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Lewis County's favor is that they have posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Lewis County challenged Scotts Hill last Friday. The Panthers claimed a resounding 41-8 victory over the Lions. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Drew Ray and Kolt Skelton were among the main playmakers for Lewis County as the former rushed for 44 yards and a pair of touchdowns and the latter threw for 104 yards and two TDs while completing 80% of his passes. Ray has been hot, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last six times he's played. Brayden Cooper made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.

Meanwhile, Lexington unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak last Friday. They took a 27-20 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Gibson.

Lewis County will have to keep a close watch on Elye Pearson and Cameron Smith, a pair of players who had a big impact on Lexington's prior game. Pearson rushed for 99 yards and one score on only eight carries, while Smith gained 121 total yards and a touchdown.

Lewis County's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for Lexington, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.
