Basketball Recap: Mancelona Takes a Loss

After flying high against Pellston last Friday, Mancelona came back down to earth. The game between the Mancelona Ironmen and the Onaway Cardinals didn't end well, with the Mancelona Ironmen falling 48-34. The Ironmen were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cardinals earlier this season, when they won 54-51.

Mancelona has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season. Onaway pushed their record up to 10-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Coming up, Mancelona is taking a road trip to challenge Forest Area at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Onaway, they will be playing at home against Bellaire at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
