Football Recap: Victory Christian Comes Up Short

Victory Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Jacksonville Christian Academy Thunder 52-8. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 38-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Victory Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Jacksonville Christian Academy, their victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Victory Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cornerstone Christian at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. As for Jacksonville Christian Academy, they will take on Russell Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Thunder will need to watch out since the Warriors have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
