Baseball Recap: Austin Takes a Loss

Austin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 12-1 to the Bob Jones Patriots. If the Black Bears were looking for revenge after losing 11-1 to the Patriots when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Austin saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaxon Potter, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Austin's loss dropped their record down to 7-19. As for Bob Jones, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Bob Jones beat Austin by a score of 4-3 on Saturday.
