It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Legacy had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Arleta Mustangs with a sharp 12-2 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 17 matches by six runs or more this season.

Legacy got a great performance from Savannah Medina as she struck out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts Medina has posted since back in April.

On the hitting side, Priscilla Medina was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Stephanie Salas was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Legacy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Arleta only managed five hits.

The victory (which was Legacy's eighth in a row) raised their record to 21-7. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Arleta, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-17 record this season.

Legacy has already played their next game, a 4-0 victory against San Fernando on the 23rd. Arleta does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
