Basketball Game Preview: KIPP Bold City Greyhounds vs. San Jose Prep Storm

Having just played yesterday, the KIPP Bold City Greyhounds will jump right back in to play the San Jose Prep Storm at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

KIPP Bold City is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Mandarin just ended the team's six-game winning streak on Thursday. The contest between them and the Mustangs didn't end well, with KIPP Bold City falling 61-47.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 77-47, which was the final score in San Jose Prep's tilt against Creekside on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Storm can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 474th, while the Knights are ranked 60th).

KIPP Bold City's defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-5. As for San Jose Prep, they dropped their record down to 5-12 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.

KIPP Bold City came up short against San Jose Prep when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 68-57. Can KIPP Bold City avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
