Flag Football Game Preview: Independence 76ers vs. Santa Teresa Saints

The Independence 76ers will head out on the road to challenge the Santa Teresa Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Independence's defense has only allowed 10.4 points per game this season, so Santa Teresa's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Independence is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Gunderson just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 13-12 to the Grizzlies. Having soared to a lofty 39 points in the game before, the 76ers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Meanwhile, Santa Teresa never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They took down Silver Creek 19-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Saints.

Independence's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Santa Teresa, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.

Independence came up short against Santa Teresa in their previous meeting back in September, falling 6-0. Can the 76ers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
