Soccer Recap: Oak Ridge Comes Up Short

Oak Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They came up short against the New Caney Eagles, falling 9-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 1-0 back in January.

Oak Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for New Caney, their win bumped their record up to 4-10.

Oak Ridge and New Caney could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Oak Ridge (ranked 744th) will meet Conroe (ranked 118th) at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, New Caney will challenge Grand Oaks at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday down 463 places (601 vs. 138).
